Karen Bond
Karen & Simon Bond are the founders of NewportNet Coworking, Fast Internet & Flexible Desk Space located in the heart of Newport on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The idea was born in 2012 from Karen & Simon’s love of not only working and living locally but supporting their local small business community so they wanted to offer the same opportunity to other like minded people.
“There are so many people who commute to the city everyday, just to turn on their computers and sit at their desks then drive an hour and half home again. Then there are also those of us lucky enough to work from home but risk getting caught in the isolation and distractions that come with a home office. NewportNet offers an alternative to both scenarios and gives you back your valuable commute time to spend doing the things you love with the people you love ”.

in 2014, Karen was invited to join the board of the newly formed Shared Work Hubs Association to offer her view point from a Coworking venue and to assist in encouraging small & big business, Government and individuals to embrace the changes in technology that facilitate the changes to the Future of Work that enable telecommuting, Coworking & remote working opportunities to the workforce.
